Pyrography on English wood

A hot iron, one line at a time. There is no undo and no sketching in pencil first. If a line goes wrong the spoon becomes firewood.

Sculpture built up by hand

Boxes, chests and full figures, built up in clay over weeks rather than hours. This is the stranger, darker end of what I make, so it will not be to everyone’s taste, but it is some of the proudest work I have done.

Textiles cut and sewn here

Corsets, cushion covers and tea towels. Drafted, boned, hemmed and packed at my studio sewing table. The printing on the cushions and tea towels is done by suppliers in Derbyshire, then everything else is me.
