There's something quietly wonderful about a kitchen tool that's also a piece of art. This wooden spoon started life as a blank canvas, and left the studio as something worth keeping.
Hand-burned by Dani at Dinni Doll's studio in Hampshire, England, the bowl of the spoon features a richly shaded Heart Flower design. The kind of detail that takes patience, a steady hand, and genuine feeling for the craft. The shading gives the petals a deep, dark colour, so the design seems to sit in the wood, rather than on top of it. Running the full length of the handle is an intricate geometric pattern, diamond lattice, diagonal stripe, and fine linear banding, all burned with the same care and precision.
It's the sort of thing you might reach for every day, or the sort of thing you display and feel good about every time you catch sight of it. Either is absolutely fine.
As each spoon is hand made, there is exactly one of these in the world, each spoon is special and unique, even if the Dinni Doll pattern is the same. Once it's gone, it's gone.
This item has been treated with a food-safe, colourless, and odourless mineral oil which protects against moisture, stains, and cracking, requiring periodic reapplication for best results.

Care Instructions
These spoons have been coated in several layers of (organic food-safe oil) and to keep it as perfect as possible, you may want to repeat this process if the wood starts looking dry. (The same way as recommended to keep wooden chopping boards in the best condition.)
Please wash your spoon in soapy warm water by hand, but do not allow it to soak for a long time as this could warp the wood. We also recommend not keeping the spoon resting in a hot pot or pan whilst cooking as this could darken the wood on the end which could affect the look of the design.
Happy Cooking!
